Kevlar provides excellent resistance to cuts, abrasion, sparks and heat. It will not melt or burn and is 2.5 times more cut resistant than cotton - so it will still cut but it offers increased protection. Kevlar gloves are ideal for handling glass or sheetmetal and are also often used in situations of high heat. They are more lint free than a cotton glove but where there is zero tolerance they can be used under a nylon glove.
