Eye Protection is essential where there is any risk to the eye. Armour Safety's range of safety glasses comply with the recognised standards for eye protection - either AS/NZS 1337:1992 or ANSI Z87.1. It is important that safety glasses have either side protection like the Armour Visitor or Black Trim glasses, or be of a wrap around style like Armour's other glasses. Other factors to consider are (1) How long the glasses are going to be worn for at a time, (2) Whether they may need to be worn by persons wearing prescription glasses in which case an overglass is required, (3) Whether the glasses will be worn primarily outside or inside - is a tint required? (4) Will they be used in situations where they may fog up? This may depend on whether a respiratory mask is also being worn and often a mask with an exhalation valve will stop any fogging.
