Blue Eagle safety glasses (also known as Technospec) are fashionable, wrap around safety glasses with polycarbonate lenses that are scratch resistant, anti-fog and provide 99% protection from natural UV light. They are lightweight and very comfortable to wear with strong, black polycarbonate side arms.
They are approved to ANSI 287.1, CE EN166 and AS/NZS 1337.1993.
Blue Eagle safety glasses come in a range of tinted lenses: - Clear, Blue, Amber, Grey, Smoke, Gold Mirror and Blue Mirror. Amber tinted glasses are detail enhancing while the darker tints and mirror coatings are glare reducing. Blue tints are recommended for computer screen glare.
In an independent test conducted in September 2009 by Consumer NZ and funded by ACC, Blue Eagle Technospec Clear were ranked most recommended. Consumer tested 18 types of safety glasses and googles on the market and scored them as to impact resistance, lens hardness and scratch resistance. Out of the 18, only 8 were recommended. Blue Eagle was rated best ahead of Bolle and MSA.
