This is a cowhide split leather glove. There are basically 2 types of leather - split leather and grain leather. Grain leather is soft and and used in upholstery. Split leather is rougher and not as plyable. These gloves are made from "A" grade split leather, which although it is not as soft as grain leather, is still comfortable to wear with good "feel". These gloves are double stitched for extra durability and have a wing thumb. An elastic band on the back helps keep the glove on the hand. A step up from the work glove with a fabric/canvas back.
