Nylon Glove
These gloves are a 10 gauge, 500+g/doz heavy duty nylon glove.
The lower the gauge, the thinner the glove. A higher gauge glove can offer better dexterity, but also provides less protection and durability. There are a number of 13 gauge nylon gloves on the market which tend to be cheaper as they use less raw material. There are also 10 gauge gloves that have a weight of under 400g. It is a good idea when selecting a nylon glove (or any glove) to ask for a sample to make sure you are getting what you want and can see/feel the difference. Armour Safety offers free samples of all gloves.
The advantage of wearing a nylon glove over a polycotton glove is mainly that there is no lint from the glove that can get into or onto food or products. Nylon will usually also provide a tighter fit enabling a better "feel". They keep the hand warm. Nylon gloves are easier to wash and are fully reversible. Suitable for use in the food industry and for all inspection type tasks.
