A Steel mesh or Chain mesh apron provides the ultimate protection while working with sharp knives. Armour Safety have the largest range of Chain mesh aprons in New Zealand with an option that will fit all possible scenarios. All of our chain mesh products are made from Manabo mesh from Germany that is recognised as the best in the world. Each stainless steel ring in the mesh is plasma welded to provide maximum strength and a more hygenic product.

We have 2 sizes of mesh. A 7mm mesh apron is the strongest and is most common. 7mm refers to the diameter of each ring. However a knife with a very sharp point can still get through a 7mm opening, hence we also have a 4mm mesh apron that will stop the finest of blades. Both aprons come in 2 sizes - the 7mm aprons are either 600 x 550 or 750 x 550. The 550 mm width allows the apron to wrap around the body thereby preventing stab risk from the side. The 4mm aprons are 635 x 500 or 735 x 500. The 4mm aprons are slightly more expensive as would be expected.

All aprons come with a Food grade, heavy duty nylon rig that is fully adjustable and designed for durability, comfort and ease of use. There are 2 sizes - 25mm thickness in clear or white, and a 40mm thickness in white.

All of the fittings on the aprons are of the same high quality stainless steel as the rest of the apron and are designed to enable the user to get a perfect fit for his or her own apron.
